Vice President for Africa Region

Grace Otinwa obtained Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology. She has served as the Head, Department of Human Kinetics & Health Education, University of Lagos (UNILAG). With a career that spans three decades, she is highly productive and has contributed to scholarship in the numerous books she has published  and her research findings  which has been  presented  both at national and international meetings some of which earned her awards.  She was a resource person for Federal Ministry of Health; World Health Organization, and United States Agency for International Development (USAID). She is a Consultant and Facilitator on health issues (exercise prescription, fitness and wellness) in workshops and seminars for various organizations.

 She is a member and fellow of some professional organizations such as Nigeria Association of Sports Science and Medicine (NASSM), Nigeria Institute of Security. She is a member of the U.S-based International Council for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (ICHPER.SD) where she served as the African Regional Secretary and is presently the Regional Vice- President. Professor Otinwa is a recipient of research grant from University of Lagos and has published her research findings in foreign and national journals. She is a four time recipient of  UNILAG Annual Research Conference & Fair Awards. She has received the following ICHPER.SD, USA awards:  Biennial Distinguished Administrator Award, Biennial Outstanding Contribution Award, Gold Medal of Honour Award for Outstanding Contribution, Merit & Visionary Leadership and Biennial Outstanding Contribution Award. She received the University of Duisburg-Essen and The Willibald Gebhardt Research Institute Award as a Distinguished Workshop Speaker at the Global Forum for Physical Education Pedagogy in Germany in 2009. She is a Reviewer for some international journals including the Global Journal of Health and Physical Education Pedagogy. She was a member of the Governing Council of BOWEN University, Iwo, Osun State and Board Member of schools.

She has served in various capacities in the Department, Faculty and the University. She is presently the Director of Quality Assurance and SERVICOM, University of Lagos.

She is married to Engr. Ajose Olaribigbe Otinwa and they are blessed with children.

Prof. E. O. Morakinyo graduated from University Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where he obtained his first degree in Physical Education. 

He went on to obtain his Masters and doctoral degrees in Physical Education with special interest in Sports Law. He has published and presented articles in local and international conferences.

He has served as resource person for Federal Ministry of Education, the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Institute for Sports and various other organizations. He is a member and fellow of professional organizations such as Institute of Sports Management, Australia, Nigeria Association of Physical, Health Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (NAPHER.SD) and International Association of Research, Scholars and Administrators (IARSA). He has also served as two term Secretary-General of NAPHER-SD, Nigeria Association of Sports Administrator, Confederation of African Volleyball’s Sport Organizing Commission, he is also a member of the National Olympic’s Technical Committee and has been a member of the Nigerian Volleyball Federation for many years.

Prof. Morakinyo is presently External Examiner to universities both within and without Nigeria. He has served in various capacities in the Department, Faculty and the University and is presently representing the Governing Council, Ila-Orangun, College of Education, Osun State.

Prof. Tunji Odedeyi

Dr Olatunji O. Odedeyi is a professor of sports science with emphasis in Exercise Physiology in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Faculty of Education, Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye, Nigeria. He was born on the 27 th of April 1954. His academic career has spanned a period of forty-six (46) years. He had traversed all educational strata in Nigeria his home country from Elementary, through Secondary, Colleges of
Education and since 1985 has been in the University rising from assistant lectureship to professorship in 2001. This experience was punctuated with some international academic experiences as a visiting lecturer of professor of sabbatical, as external examiner or for conference attendance.

A product of major Educational Institutions in Nigeria viz: Ahmadu Bello University for his first Degree passing out with Second Class
Upper division in Physical and Health Education 1983. University of Ibadan for his Masters of Education in Exercise Physiology in
1984 University of Ibadan for his Ph.D in Exercise Physiology in 1991
He was appointed the Head of Department of physical and Health
Education in his home University Olabisi Onabanjo University Ogun State Nigeria West Africa, for two terms 1992-1997 and 2001-2003. He was appointed the Dean of Faculty of Education in 2003-2007. Professor Odedeyi was appointed the Provost of the Post Graduate School in 2011-2014. He served and is still serving as external examiner to many notable Universities in Nigeria and other countries, including: Kenyata University Kenya, University of Cape coast and University of Education in Winneba Ghana.

He won the long and meritorious service award of his University in 2000. He was a visiting Lecturer at University of Cape Coast Ghana, Lagos State University Nigeria and University of Education Winneba Ghana. One time resource person to UNICEF in structural Adjustment programme and currently serves a resource person in Nigeria Universities Accreditation

An Astute Administrator, he was appointed the Secretary committee of Nigeria Deans of Education and later Vice Chairman of the same body 2003/2005. He was a member of Olabisi Onabanjo University Governing Council and later board member of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital.
A member and Fellow of many Associations which include:
1. Nigeria Association of Physical Health Education Recreation Sport and Dance (NAPHER.SD).

2. Nigeria Association Sport Science and Medicine (NASSM).

3. International Council for Health Physical Education Recreation Sport and Dance (ICHPER.SD) and current African Regional General Secretary.

4. Currently he is the President and Fellow of Nigerian Association of Sports Science and Medicine.

He was the sub-committee Chairman for the welfare of athletes during the Ghana Nigeria Africa Cup of Nations Competition 2000 hosted in Lagos and Accra. Former Chairman Ogun State, Nigeria Sports Medicine Association and
member of ICHPER.SD Sport Physiology Commission
Once appointed as Executive committee and a member of Board of Governors in Doha Qatar in May 2010. He has attended and participated in many National and International Conferences in Sports Science and Physical Education in General. He has publications in many renowned journals and is widely traveled.

Professor Odedeyi a Venerable in the Anglican Communion is married to Mrs. Winnified Funmilola Odedeyi and the marriage is blessed with Good Children.

Prof. Oladipo Isiaka Oladele

Managing Editor African Journal of ICHPER.SD

OLADIPO, Isiaka Oladele is a Professor of Sport and Exercise Science with interest in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology and Nutrition and Sport Performance. He works for University of Ibadan, and currently serving as the Head of Exercise Physiology Unit in The Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education. He is versatile, proficient and has remarkable administrative and leadership skills. He is a national and International consultant on Nutrition and Sport Performance.

He is the Managing Editor African Journal of ICHPER.SD.
